  9. Scalar Chain – Fayol’s principle outlines that hierarchy should go from the top down. This is important so that employees know their immediate superiors and can contact them if necessary.

  11. Equity – Respect and equality should be the norm for all employees. Managers have the responsibility to ensure that employees are treated equally and respectfully.
  12. Stability – Employees can perform at their best when they feel safe in their work environment. Management has a duty to provide job security for their employees.
  13. Initiative – Management should encourage and support employees to take initiative in the organization. This will increase their enthusiasm and help them make a good living.
